Artist Trading Cards are most of the rage amongst our family, and this latest Tuesday we had a Shakespeare-them'd ATC-swap, as Shakespeare is all the rage. (Artist Trading Cards are 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" cards with original art created for the purpose of trading with other artists.) This was a five-card swap in which six of us participated. Each participant made five cards and obtained five new cards in exchange.
Behold, the cards by Lydia - Clockwise from left: Posthumous and Iachimo from Cymbeline, the witches from Macbeth, Touchstone, Rosalind, and Celia from As You Like It, Bottom from A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Shylock from Merchant of Venice:
Observe the cards which I didst make, depicting a sentry looking towards Birnam wood, from Macbeth; Posthumous and gaolers, from Cymbeline; Capulets, Montagues, and Citizens fighting, from Romeo and Juliet; Oliver, Orlando, and Adam from As You Like It; and the first line from The Merchant of Venice:
Here are ye cards made by Anna: The Queen and Physician discuss poisons in Cymbeline, Moonlight from Midsummer Night's Dream, Phebe's letter from As You Like It, Iachimo from Cymbeline, and Rosalind and Celia from As You like It.
Mary Rose made these following cards- Silvius and Phebe from As You Like It, Pisanio gives the potions to Imogen in Cymbeline, another card of Iachimo and the ring from Cymbeline, Imogen pining for her love in Cymbeline, and the murder of Macduff's son from Macbeth:
Jonathan manufactured these: Jacques' quote from As You Like it, Aviragus from Cymbeline, witches' salutation from Macbeth, another Moonlight from Midsummer night's Dream, and how to quarrel by the book from As You Like It:
Behold the cards which Mother made: the hypothetical Knight swearing on the mustard and pancakes from As You Like It, Belarius' prays his 'morning office' from Cymbeline, another Bottom head from Midsummer, the flowers of Titania's bower from Midsummer, and the gold casket from Merchant o' Venice:
We had a great jolly time whilst trading these cards. We would like to have another Shakespearian swap, in which thou blog-readers may participate as you doth list.
Perchance you have ne'er heard of an ATC swap - only look in my Mother's blog, at this certain post regarding ye Marian ATC swap held in May.
If you are interested in participating, please to leave a comment or send an email to that effect and I will give you the details.
