Did you know you can bake a chocolate cake in fifteen minutes? In the time it takes to pray the rosary you can bake your family a yummy earthly treat as well.
If it is evening time and your family is hungry and you have run out of the usual bedtime snack of ice cream and perhaps you have even run out of butter (gasp!) you can whip up a quickie cake in no time. Just follow the recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa can for chocolate cake. (I don't bother with the electric mixer, I just stir it up.) Pour the batter into a greased jelly roll pan (i.e. a cookie sheet with a rim - mine is 12 x 17") and sprinkle with a handful or two of chocolate chips. Bake for 15 minutes at 350, or until cake tests done. Let it cool until you finish the last decade. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if you feel fancy. Serve with ice cold milk. :-)
Ooh, I think we'll do this one tonight, I have a giant Hershy's from Costco :))
