Here are divers pictures, by which one may the progress which I made upon restoring of an Ax, which I did find in the Gar-age of Grampy last year.
The ax was in sundry places rusty, and likewise stain'd, besides haveing several Nail's in its head for the purposes of tightening it Up.
I Therefore used a great lot of sand-paper, steel wool, and other implements to clean off the head. It does bear the mark f one 'OGONTZ TOOL CO', written cryptically on one side. However, by researching, I did find of this web-site which somewhat explains that manufactory.
I also did sand off all the old stain of the handle, And did occasion that handle to be coated many times with right good olive oil, until it shone nicely.
I did also file the edge until sharp, as previously it was Not so.I put in a nifty wedge instead of them Nails.
Thereby that ax was restor'd. It is a very nice axe. Thus endeth this post.
