Happy is celebrating Memorial Day properly with small town parades and services honoring veterans, including an early-morning symbolic wreath laying in the river by the Marines and a memorial service at the cemetery.
We went to a graduation party at a park and I believe this was the first time in our nearly three decades of marriage that my dear husband and I have ridden a see saw together! Every time I thought I was safe for a minute Whoop! up in the air he would suddenly send me, leaving me helplessly airborne and laughing like quite a fool. Then he pulled a camera out of his pocket! Very funny! You should try it sometime. :-)
And in case you were wondering what happened to us in between Josiah's graduation and Memorial Day...
Five of us were struck with a nasty, no good, very bad GI bug (viral gastroenteritis of the worst kind). After ten days we are mostly back to normal with just a few lingering symptoms. I can finally climb a flight of stairs without it feeling like ten and I am able to resume most of my household duties. Can you believe I haven't had a cup of tea in over a week!?!
