Here's some jolly happy music from the coffee house the kids played at last Friday night!
(If you don't know what The Musketoon is, you can read about that too!)
And here we have the sight outside our back windows. They are building a house right across the way from our yard - those are our raspberry bushes there across the back of our property. They didn't do any more developing for several years after we moved here, and we got quite used to the peace and quiet and lovely views. And the birds, and deer, and fox...
They're building across the street in the other direction too, house after house in front of the woods. This is all quite challenging for my peace-and-quiet-and-nature-loving change-hating children. The noise (and smell) of the constant droning bulldozers and trucks can, um, get on one's nerves at times. Today the girls rode just around the block and counted five bulldozers, two shovels, three cement trucks, thirteen pickup trucks, three trailers, two fork lifts and a large towering crane. When it gets to be too much we close the windows and turn on the harp music! And concentrate on capturing that contentment in everyday life. :-)
