Perfect! Thank you Lydia dear.

Nadja

Thank you! I will be printing off a few of these for the younger ones in the family to help them mark off the days of Lent. A blessed Lent to you and your family.

Martha in SD

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My girls were just asking me today about a Lent calendar. And, viola!, here you give me one. You are the best! Deo Gratias!

Lydia, thankyou so much for allowing me to print this LOVELY calendar for lent. When I first opened the page my first thought was "oh I wish I could print this off eh" ;-)
Father Benedict Groeschel CFR, whom I feel is my spiritual father & director, lives in NYC. He comments in his books and on his TV program thru EWTN that on Ash wednesday at St Patricks in NYC, there are many many non Catholics attending. As one gentleman of the Jewish faith once commented to him many years ago "its free, and it can't hurt"!

I have never commented before, but I want to thank you and your daughter so much for this. It is beautiful. I have asked my husband to print it off at his work, and we will follow it this Lent. Thank you,

CeAnne @Sanctus Simplicitus

Thank you for sharing, it is very lovely! I love how well the art work is done, very respectfully and yet useable for children. I added your link to this post to our Lent page over at Sanctus Simplicitus. God bless!

Rachel

Thanks so much Lydia- this is really pretty! We very much enjoyed using your chart last year and this one is even better. Wishing you all a fruitful Lent.

Oh how beautiful! And perfect because Bella has just become obsessed with marking days off her calendar. I'm printing off three copies because I know Ben and Bella and Sophie will each want their own. Many thanks to Lydia for sharing her lovely art with us.

Marcie in Canada

So, so, so incredibly beautiful. We tip our hats to the young artist.

Ellie

Oh this is lovely! Thank you so much for creating and sharing it with us all. My children love it.

Lydia

Thank you all for your kind comments! I am glad you like and are using the calendar!

justamouse

Thank you, Lydia, it's just gorgeous-one of the most beautiful I've seen.

Did you use a series of books to teach your children drawing or did they attend a special class? My 10 yr old loves to draw (especially birds)& I enrolled her in a 6 week program w/ our local arts alliance but I want to help her develop her skills more.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:)

Today

  • Remember, O Christian soul, that thou hast this day, and every day of thy life: God to glorify - Jesus to imitate - The Angels and Saints to invoke - A soul to save - A body to mortify - Sins to expiate - Virtues to acquire - Hell to avoid - Heaven to gain - Eternity to prepare for - Time to profit by - Neighbors to edify - The world to despise - Devils to combat - Passions to subdue - Death perhaps to suffer - Judgment to undergo.
