As we were leaving for Mass this morning I opened the car door to find Mary Rose working on her NaNoWriMo novel. She's so excited to be writing a new novel.
Having finished the Magi-can's Neep-hew, Kateri moves on to Prince Caspian. She's only five.
I could take pictures of her reading all day - I love to watch her face.
Nose to nose, Eliza and her beloved Faustina. She gave her kisses in between the nose nuzzles.
White board masterpiece. This is what happens when we leave three big girls in the waiting room at the doctor's office. Gondor (you can see the White Tree on top), Pellenor Fields, Rohirrim, orcs, wild men, black ships, nine Nazgul, Mount Doom - the works. There's even a teeny tiny Eowyn fighting the Witch King in the middle.

Your kids astound me, Kimberlee.
And I bet they astound the ladies working the front desk at the doc's office, too. :)

I am finally catching up on your posts! I love seeing what the girls are up to, on your blog and on theirs. Missing updates on Josiah's blog, but that is to be expected with him now being A College Man.
I love your post on your chore distribution as well--very clever and unique!
Oh, you asked whether I carry the camera around my neck all day...well, it is always nearby indoors, and if the weather is nice, yes, I usually do take it out with me, even if I am just hanging laundry. If I don't, I usually end up shouting for someone to bring the the camera quickly!
Pax et bonum!

Do you think Kateri would share her curly hair with me??? She has the prettiest curls.
Have your girls ever thought of cutting their hair for locks of love?

They can't resist a blank whiteboard!

I cannot believe she's reading that at five-not meaning that I don't believe it, but that wow, wow.
Did all of your children learn to read that early?

Sarah, I'm not sure anyone noticed while we were there. It was funny cuz when we went in a little girl was playing tic tac toe on the board with her dad, and when we came out a couple hours later it had been quite transformed.
Nadja, yes, the College Men are very busy. I have started carrying the camera more, thanks - took 229 pics at the church All Saints party!
Ellen, the curls come from my father. And the girls are all quite fond of their 'crowns of glory' (I Cor 11:15).
Justamouse, No! I have never had a child read like this at this age. But I did a lot of work with Eliza to teach her to read, and Kateri picked it all up as well, and then she took off....but we don't correct how she says magi-can's neep-hew - it's far too cute!
