~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~
pretty - a juvenile Baltimore oriole on our deck. I even identified it all by myself (with help from Sibley's, of course)!
happy - I was very happy to finally convince Josiah to try out the old sewing machine we bought some time ago for a spare. I just got my regular machine back from the shop after a repair and tune up (which cost a small fortune) and I'm a little protective of it, so I was glad Josiah gave the vintage machine a go. After consulting the instruction book, he did fine with it, and even moved the cabinet to his room (yippee). He hasn't admitted it, but I think he was very happy to have lots of space in his own room to spread out and sew. I think it makes a happy sight.
funny -Eliza loves her vanilla ice cream (only Turkey Hill all natural vanilla, please), and since the box was just about empty, and she is so very cute...
You can tell that she's grinning inside the box there.
real - Lydia would much rather be painting birds than walls, but her room will look so lovely and serene when it's all done. Visit Leila and Rosie for lots more prettyhappyfunnyreal! Happy Thursday!
Remember, O Christian soul, that thou hast this day, and every day of thy life: God to glorify - Jesus to imitate - The Angels and Saints to invoke - A soul to save - A body to mortify - Sins to expiate - Virtues to acquire - Hell to avoid - Heaven to gain - Eternity to prepare for - Time to profit by - Neighbors to edify - The world to despise - Devils to combat - Passions to subdue - Death perhaps to suffer - Judgment to undergo.
