...and everything in its pouch.
Anna started it by making a pouch to hold straws in my purse. Eliza really prefers drinking with a straw and we often end up at events with refreshments served but no straws available. So Anna whipped up this handy and cute calico straw pouch, and now we always have a straw when we need one. Next I made a tissue holder using the simple directions found here. (These are a quick and easy project for beginners and would make great little gifts, by the way.) I made two similar little pouches - one for holy cards (nice for little hands at Mass) and one for ladies' essentials (to keep little hands out). The large pouch holds our mantillas, which were starting to get ragged from being loose in my purse and getting caught in the zipper and such. I followed the same sewing method, using a satiny fabric for the liner so the lace would slide in easily. I also added a simple button and ribbon loop closure.

What a cute idea - the straw pouch. And like so many projects, one just leads to another and then another and pretty soon, your whole handbag is organized.
I may try the tissue holder, although I try very hard to not carry a handbag - I guess I'm just too much of a tomboy and when I do carry one, I have been known to forget it.

They are LOVELY, Kimberlee! Such beautiful fabrics. Everything you touch seems to turn to gold! Hmmm....that reminds me, I think I need more rosaries for Christmas. :)
