I don't know how this happened! Maybe I was spotted in my silver flats today or maybe it was yesterday's red Mary Janes? Perhaps I was heard singing Turtle Rock with Eliza and Rachel? Could I have been noticed dancing around the house when Jonathan plays his
rock Rach (maninoff) music? I think it must simply be because Cay is so very sweet that she tagged me as a Rockin' Girl Blogger!
I am always amazed to realize this famous author has been reading my little blog and now this! I did have a lot of fun telling my family that I do indeed rock. Cay Gibson says I do and she wrote this very book so it must be true!
I would like to pass on this most Prestigious Pink Plaque to Muddy Mama. She is such a young and sweet and fresh faced (I never see any mud on it at all) mama! Just seeing her picture when I visit her blog makes me smile before I even read her funny, insightful and delightful posts. She rocks.
I would also like to name Sister Mary Martha - we can change it to the Rockin' Sister Award for her. Some days she just cracks me up with her hilarity and it is usually when I'm on the verge of cracking and it's nice to be sent into peals of laughter rather than remain dangling near the edge. (Let's hope she doesn't read my run on sentences - I'm sure she taught English at some point in her Catholic school career.) I'll never forget the first time I visited her blog and read this post and I laughed so hard until the tears came. Then I had Jonathan read it and I got to watch him smirk and guffaw and snort trying not to crack up out loud. Sr. Mary Martha writes about St. Rock and she rocks.
I also name Bridget who has probably already been tagged because she really rocks. She is happy and she is holy and she is funny and she is such a nice wife (look at that those joyful smiles!) and she is such a cool mom and I want to be just like her when I grow up. Well, sooner than that I hope.
Thanks again, Cay! And now it's time to rock to sleep...
